The new conferences won't take effect right away (2013 I think it might have been, but don't quote me on that). But if you're excited for next season regardless, then so am I!

I think it was 2012 actually. At least that's what it was with Nebraska.

And it looks like Colorado's officially left the Big 12 for the Pac-10. Nuts.

If this Pac-16 happens (which reporters say is almost certain now), its football "East" conference will be all the Big 12 schools that move, plus the Arizona schools. The "West" will just be all the remaining original Pac-10 members. So as far as scheduling, this affects the Arizona schools more than anyone, and they didn't even make the move!

I'm nervous (but excited) for my Wildcats!

Alabama escapes Arkansas(24-20) to keep their regular season winning streak at 28. Mallett threw 2 interceptions in the fourth quarter which were very costly. First one was ran back to the 11 where Ingram got 3 carries to score the game winning TD. Second one ended the game for Arkansas capped off by Alabama getting a first down on 4th and inches on their side of the field.

I can't believe UCLA totally outplayed Texas. IN Austin, no less.

After a dreadful start to the season, two impressive wins!

Texas might've won their first couple games, but they still didn't look good. The result wasn't that surprising to me.

Arizona had a great late drive against Cal last night. They were down 9-3 with 2:30 to go and hadn't produced anything offensively the whole night but Nick Foles stepped it up when he needed to.

I wouldn't say the Ducks exactly stopped the Sun Devils, more like Steven Threet decided to throw an interception whenever they made it into the red zone. Arizona State actually outgained Oregon by almost 200 yards but simply turned it over way too many times (7). I look for Stanford to give Oregon a stern test next week and possibly even come out with the win at Autzen. That 35-0 win for the Cardinal at the Rose Bowl looks mighty impressive now.

When did the Big 10 become another "We're all gonna run up the score on the scrubs for BCS purposes" like we have seen in years back in the SEC and other conferences? That's very disappointing. And I'm especially disappointed that my Buckeyes would succumb to such poor sportsmanship.
