Probably. Labor day itself is strictly an American thing.

Which we celebrate, audaciously, by not working.

I think something like "Labor Day" is celebrated in much of the world as "May Day" on May 1.

I like to observe Labor Day by driving home from the U.S. Open.
But maybe not next year. My brother has already discussed my 40th birthday gift for next year and it's going to be some U.S. Open tickets. So I MAY get to stay an extra day or two next year.

So you'll observe Labor Day by watching other people work.

Labour day is the 4th Monday in October here, so it will be the 27th this year. I've got the day rostered off so I get a day-in-lieu. grin

Right you are on the date. Yet it's called Dia del Trabajador here or Worker's Day. Following the general irony, it's celebrated by not working.

Tennis players and cars and photos ... oh my!
Actually, I debated between this thread and the "great" tennis journalism thread, because the text is thoroughly lacking in insight. But there are nice pics of Masha and Ana.
