They might reference this book:
Sex as a Sublimation for Tennis: From the Secret Writings of Freud
Normal red-blooded Americans prefer tennis to sex-and Sigmund Freud always knew it. the famous doctor surpressed his findings because of a morbid fear of white shorts, but now his secret papers have been discovered. Complete with case studies, photographs, personal correspondence, and seminal doodles, Sex as a Sublimation for Tennis explains the conclusions Freud hid and reveals man's true basic drive: getting a court in prime time. http://www.amazon.com/Sex-Sublimatio.../dp/0894809121

You are able to recognize that it is Irena Pavlovic (WTA #147) who is hitting on the court right beside you by her grunt, without actually seeing her hit a ball and you go "fan boy" because she's in the official legion of scrubs. Literally 15 ft. away, I've never focused that hard on looking awesome during a warm up. .

You're in a restaurant in NYC the week before the US Open and as you get up to leave you notice that a very low key, bling-free Mirka Federer is at the table next to you with some friends. You, of course, are the only one in the room staring. She's talking very animatedly in Czech. You contemplate sitting back down in case her husband joins, but since they're well into their meal and don't have an extra place-setting at the table you go quietly.
