#435 You're reading an article and there's a picture of a tennis court overlooking the sea. You know without even glancing at the caption that it's Monte Carlo.

#436 You're watching a report on Euronews about Spain and Turkey putting in their applications for hosting the Olympics in 2020 and you're saying to yourself the best country would be "the one with the best tennis facilities of course"...

You mean the blue clay in Madrid or the place where they held the WTA Championships in Istanbul?

I hope by 2020 that blue stuff will be a trivia question Spain has a lot good tennis venues. I was impressed by the support women's tennis got in Istanbul last year but it was an indoor facility.

Since this years Olympic tennis event is being held on grass there shouldn't be any objections to the red clay Spanish courts (although I'm sure there will be).

Barcelona Olympics were played on red clay.

You know you're a tennis fan if you wonder how Dustin Brown got from Germany to Los Angeles in time to hoist the Stanley Cup last night - that is quite the travel schedule - wonder who his travel agent is?

So glad I am not the only one who wondered the same thing.

Probably be on hard courts because of the proximity with the US Open(roughly two weeks after) but no official word on it .However here is a pic of the project tennis center that seems to suggest hard courts

Hmm, I figured they'd use the same facility that will host the ATP tourney that is taking Memphis's spot. Since that's part of the South American "Golden Swing" I though it (and therefore the Olympics) would be on clay.

You know you're a tennis fan when you come across this clue in the crossword puzzle: Shiver and quiver.
And you immediately wonder what Pam Shriver and arrows have in common.
