Day 7 (Mon) Picks - Ladies' Wimbledon SP

Welcome to Day 7 of the Women's Wimbledon Suicide Pool. While some of the matches are being carried over from Saturday, these matches are not eligible to be picked today. Your choice must only come from the matches listed at the bottom of this post.

Remember that once you use a player, you can never use them again. There is a “picks and results thread” posted so you can check the choices you have already made. Be careful as one player was ousted on the men's side Saturday for a double pick. And, be sure to look for the Updated Picks & Results thread to be released shortly, containing only those players remaining.

It is very important you follow the posted schedule below. You are not allowed to pick from holdover matches from other days (Saturday). Post your Day 7 (Monday) pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in London, that is, Monday, July 2nd at 11:00 AM London time, 6:00 AM on the East coast, and 3:00 AM on the West coast. Get your picks in early. Don’t be late as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will.

NOTE: If, due to rain delays or darkness, your day 6 pick did not conclude or reach the court (and most did not), YOU STILL MUST make a Day 7 (Monday) selection.

    Best of luck!

Monday’s schedule of play consists of 4th round matches from the TOP half of the women’s draw:

[1] Justine Henin BEL vs. [15] Patty Schnyder SUI
[10] Daniela Hantuchova SVK vs. [7] Serena Williams USA

[3] Jelena Jankovic SRB vs. [18] Marion Bartoli FRA
Laura Granville USA vs. [31] Michaella Krajicek NED

Well, everything was looking nice and pretty for me until the rains came today and the R16 was split up.

Nobody ever said winning a slam was easy. I already took Krajicek and I'm not confident picking Granville. Serena, Justine or Jelena...

    Drum roll please...

    SERENA WILLIAMS

I've got Serena winning it all, and I've already picked Krajicek, so the time is now for Justine Henin.

Cool Re: Day 7 (Mon) Picks - Ladies' Wimbledon SP

Since I've started the Williams track, let's finish it here.

Day 7 (shouldn't we call this Day 8?): Serena Williams
    Day 6: Venus Williams
    Day 5: Daniela Hantuchova
    Day 4: Virginia Ruano-Pascual
    Day 3: Lucie Safarova
    Day 2: Ai Sugiyama
    Day 1: Samantha Stosur

    Henin
I am a citizen of the most beautiful nation on earth. A nation whose laws are harsh yet simple, a nation that never cheats, which is immense and without borders, where life is lived in the present. In this limitless nation, this nation of wind, light, and peace, there is no other ruler besides the sea.
