The Super Bowl commercial with 10m views. I have to say I enjoyed it.

Tanya Tucker's outfit would normally have me muttering "Oh honey," but it was a Pride event and she's Tanya Tucker, so I'll hush already:

    Re: The Music Thread

Few weeks ago Riga held a week long traditional dance and song festival. It happens once every five years and this one is the 26th edition. To the best of my knowledge it's the largest event of this kind in Europe. Always been widely popular in Latvia, but now in particular with also many foreign visitors. For the choir singing part there are two concerts for the entire group together (ca 16,000 singers) and they last about 4 h each late in the evening. I believe after the last reconstruction there are places for ca 30,000 spectators. Some of my more musical Latvian friends here in Basel were also participating...

Below is popular patriotic song from the final concert.

    Roger forever

Not Really my genre, but I still quite liked this. Heard about singer on NPR earlier this week. Mysterious, Gay Cowboy is a interesting gimmick.

    Re: The Music Thread

Is there anything really interesting happening in music at the moment? I was driving around this afternoon and was listening to NY Z100 on Sirius (pop). It was depressing. I was on the road for about an hour. I didn't hear anything interesting at all. In fact, the last song that made me stop and take notice of it was Love Lies. Before that, all sorts of stuff from Kendrick Lamar had my attention. Before that, Twenty-One Pilots (last album). But I'm not hearing anything these days that can keep my attention.

I must be missing good music that just isn't getting airplay. Please share it.

This song is a couple years old, but I've been listening to Anderson Paak.

My daughter just saw Anderson Paak at the Garden. I'm kinda sorta into his music right now.

    Re: The Music Thread

I had one of those moments today when I was driving and I just HAD to pull over because a song I was hearing for the first time caught my attention. I have always loved Kane Brown's voice, though Heaven was the only song of his so far that I really, really liked. And I have never been able to connect to Marshmello's work.

But their collaboration on One Thing Right checks all the boxes for me.
