I'm amazed by the amount of slash fiction that's out there about Chipper.
Then again, maybe I'm not
Good luck at Wimbledon, Kohli

My very first favorite athlete. I made my parents buy 3 programs the first time I went to a Braves game just so I could get one with a Chipper poster tucked inside. That was probably in 94 or 95. And he is the reason why I was #10 when I started little league softball (until I became #11 because of Gary Sheffield. Had to support a Sheffield). He's also the reason I wanted to be a Hooters girl (JUST KIDDING). Chipper is Braves baseball for me, so this news makes me pretty sad.

Oh good God! I live 320 miles away for where the Dodgers are playing the Padres, but the game is blacked out in my area.

Re: The MLB Thread
In Canada we have 4 "sportsnet" channels - each has one of the NHL teams as their "home" team and show a lot of their games. But only the closest one is not blacked out. So for me, in Halifax (east of Maine) I have Edmonton and Calgary games blacked out (north of Montana.)
A 4.800 KM drive per google (approx 3000 miles.)

Re: The MLB Thread
Very exciting opening day win for the Jays despite ugly lines by Lawrie (0 for 6 with a walk and Rasmus (0 for 7). But we still have Joey Bats (3 for 4 with a HR and two walks).
The Jays are a decent team and I will enjoy watching this year.
Happy that the season is started.

Re: The MLB Thread
It took 'em 11 innings, but the Dodgers pulled it out against San Diego, 6-5. L.A. is 3-0!

Twice!
I mean seriously. We are clearly in the toughest division in baseball and we can't beat the Mets. May be a long season ahead.

Re: The MLB Thread
Very nervous start for Yu Darvish's debut. But, the Rangers got to hitting and Darvish settled in for the win.
