Re: Your Questions For World #1 Lisa Raymond

2nd bump. We'd like to have all our questions in by Monday, so we can get them to Lisa next week.

What is it like to become a Hall of Famer (University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame) while still very much an active, successful player, albeit on a different circuit?

While still at the very top of the doubles competition, your career as a singles player would seem to be winding down. Will you continue to play singles on the main tour, perhaps drop singles and focus on doubles competely sometime in the future, or play a few more ITF singles tournaments to stay in touch with that part of your game?
    Coach Marion, at your service!

I've always enjoyed watching women's doubles even more than women's singles. However, it's hard to see them if you are not at the tournament. You discussed in your new SI blog how the ATP has begun promoting men's doubles. Is there any similar plan being contemplated by the WTA? If you had the reigns, what would you do to increase coverage and popularity of doubles?

Is the SI blog just something on the side, or are you prepping yourself for a future career?

I really enjoyed watching your Women's Final victory at Roland Garros last year with Sam Stosur. Do you play differently on clay or just "play your game"?

We're you disappointed in the amount of people watching the final?
And does a large crowd get your adrenalin going?

Is Sam Stosur the biggest server you have played with?
If so, how does that affect your strategy during the match?

    Thank Lisa

Can you describe early days on the tour when you went from "Lisa Raymond's Tanning Hour" in college to 3 Hour single matches; a Capraiti match comes to mind, plus doubles?

Lots of players these days seem to struggle with the decision to either go to college or immediately turn pro. How hard of a transition was it for you to go from college action to professional tennis?

I don't think this has been asked already. I apologize if it has.

What has the game of tennis taught you about life?

Re: Your Questions For World #1  Lisa Raymond

Who is your dream doubles partner and mixed-doubles partner from any era of tennis?

How do doubles teams get together and stay together? Can you describe that behind-the-scenes dynamic on the tour? Does a player have her people talk to another player's people? Does a player ever approach someone to play if they don't have a relationship with that person? Is there any drama surrounding partnership, and is there any kind of "partner stealing" rumblings and jostlings?

    Thanks!
