How do you swing your racquet?

or in better words, where does your racquet end up after you swing it?

is it like Davenport's forehand where she keeps on lifting up her arm and ends up around the shoulder? or does it end up in around your chest? waist?

mine is around chest. yours?

I see a lot of the younger people (those in high school, college) finishing across their chest, similar to Federer.

I am more traditional and usually end up high, catching my racquet in my left hand. If I really go to smack a forehand though I end up across my chest.

And if the end result is stuffing a tennis ball down someone's throat, I don't care if their racket is pointing to China and they're wearing a pink tutu.

i mostly want it to go past my shoulder. one time having my racquet go to my chest . the racquet hit my front tooth causing a chip.

It absolutely matters where you finish your shot and how you finish your shot. An incorrect or inappropriate finish could botch your shot and can easily create pain or injuries. Everyone's appropriate finish is slightly unique to them and their style of stroke.
