    Two competitive semis. Expected it from the one, wasn't sure about the other, but Krejcikova is holding her own against Sabalenka. I wonder what was holding her back from having success in singles earlier on.

    Her singles momentum was hurt a little bit by her doubles success. She'd frequently make the final weekend in doubles, which would force her to pull out of singles qualifying the following week. For a while, it looked like she'd end up being mostly a doubles specialist.

    Pretty good final, great first set. A shame it didn't go 3. But Mertens started the 2nd too slow and Aryna was off and running by the time Elise got back into the set. The Eurosport commentators laughing at (but also appreciating) Sabalenka's intensity was a highlight for me.

    Also, 'Ladies Linz' made me think of the Broadway song "Ladies Who Lunch."
