They're probably being encouraged the the association of tennis writers although they rarely (never) post gifs. It's idiotic by both groups. The tennis writers are why there are no post match interviews on the RG website. Can't have just anybody have access to content only credentialed writers should. And yet I dare you, outside of people like Clarey, Wertheim and Bodo (If he's still writing) to find anyone who posts anywhere on a regular basis about tennis (including podcasts).

DoubleFault and the like had their gifs restored. It's just idiotic thinking to have less attention on your tournament. And you'd only have to take a few glances to realize they are the most popular things posted.

The final line up of quarter finalists nicely show how global and diverse our sport is. The 16 players represent 12 different nations from 3 different continents (2 each from ESP, USA, GER and ITA).

Have the women's and men's champ ever both gone through in the same year without losing a set?

^ They should play each other - just one set - to break the tie and see who will be the only one to truly not lose a set there this year.
    * Yes, it's me (last seen on TW boards in 2009).

No, commentators or Santoro (who did the post-match interview) said it's the first time in the Open Era, at least at the French.
