You know, the lack of crowds hasn't bothered me at all during exhibition matches. Haven't missed them at all. Wertheim's mailbag today mentioned that other players and their teams should attend matches. Agree. Might feel quaint!

Except a couple people are going to make a few million bucks and grab 2,000 points. I agree field will probably be depleted, but players will care.

I think they'll find a way to go ahead with it, and I doubt there will be more than 10-15 players missing from each draw.

Someone needs to create a Bingo board for this.

You don't think getting back to Europe to play on clay will be a deterrent?

Like which players won't show up?

I've read somewhere that there is a plan of letting players choose whether to play and earn new points or not play and keep 2019 points until 2021 USO. Of course that still leaves the prize money.

Anyway the season is supposed to restart in Washington DC followed by MS tournament in NYC. Let's see how those go first...

I've read about the USTA's overtures to having tennis at Flushing Meadows, but has it actually been officially announced the US Open 2020 Presented by COVID-19 is occurring?

And they just shut LA down again for the next three weeks. It's mid-March all over again.

We're two months away from the Open but who would want to come to America while we're such a shit show?

At least got to dine out last night. Who knows when it will happen again.

Welp, not surprising but Isner just used the term "coronabros" on Twitter. Why does it feel like this pandemic is turning tennis into pro wrestling with "faces" and "heels". I hope the first live crowds really give it to all these players. I'd be in favor of an organized walkout for Djokovic, Dmitrov, Zverev, Isner, etc. when they take the court. That would be amazing.

You coronabros can stay in your basement all you want. I choose to live my life and play/promote the sport I love in a safe manner.

I’d feel safe around you, if someone gave it to you you wouldn’t be able to return it anyways

Ok, that was pretty good I have to admit.
