    May We Entertain You?

I've thought about how and where to post several things that I've seen and this is what I've decided on - a new thread. Hopefully everyone can get behind the idea of this and join in either by sharing or commenting on what they've watched or enjoyed.

It's a tough time for many. A bizarre time for all. There are many talented people, some famous and some not, that have been performing a variety of things in an effort to bring some comfort or a little ray of sunshine in these dark times. I'll post some of what has already come before now and what I see in the future.

The performances are wide ranging - famous singer performing their songs, unknown high schoolers who won't get to perform the musicals they've been practicing for months and were weeks away from premiering, famous instrumentalist performing a comforting song, world class symphony live streaming their performance, famous playwright singing possibly his most iconic Broadway song etc, etc.

So, a wide range of things for a variety of tastes. Some are recorded, some are live streamed. Some are just one song, others are mini concerts or even whole performances. Pick what you want to watch. Please feel free to post things you see as well.

A lot of people are struggling with what is going on, and you never know what might bring a smile to their face and brighten their day for just a little bit. So please do share whatever you like with your family and friends who might get some joy out of these small things in this difficult time.

First up is John Legend. Posting his first because he will be live streaming a mini concert from home TODAY, March 17 at 1 pm Pacific Time (4 pm ET). Wife Chrissy Teigen will be in attendance because as she pointed out, "I literally have no choice," so there's likely to be some funny commentary with the music.

As mentioned in John Legend's post above, Chris Martin of Coldplay did an Instagram Live yesterday. It's a half hour mini-concert. Very nice.

Lovely. When all this passes, if you ever get the chance to see him perform in person, I highly recommend taking the opportunity.

    Re: May We Entertain You?

The Philadelphia Orchestra live streamed their concert last Thursday, March 12, which took place in an empty concert hall since it exceeds 1,000 seats and mass gathering limits had gone into effect. This was the first thing I wanted to post almost a week ago but couldn't decide on where. I saw it on the local news and it made me think of Glenn and something he might like to see (watch him hate Beethoven or these specific symphonies lol). Unfortunately I don't there will be more live performances, originally there were supposed to be, but now that we have stricter restrictions starting yesterday, I'm thinking it's not possible, but maybe the chamber orchestra will have something.
