Day 3 20 AOSP Women Pick

Welcome to Day 3 of the 2020 Australian Open Women’s Suicide Pool!

IF YOU ARE STILL ALIVE AFTER DAY 1 AND YOUR DAY 2 PICK WAS NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE HER MATCH, YOU MUST MAKE A DAY 3 PICK FROM THE LIST BELOW. AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WAITING FOR THE MEN'S THREAD, THAT MAY TAKE A BIT BECAUSE OF DRAW COMPLETION AND TIME ZONES.

You will be making one pick EACH DAY of the women’s event (NOT one each round). Once you use a player, you may never use her again. There will be a “picks and results thread” posted once the Day 1 threads so you can track your choices and confirm the players you have already used in the pool.

Post your Day 3 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in Melbourne, rain or shine. For Day 3, that’s Wednesday (Jan. 22), 11 AM in Melbourne. For members in the U.S., that is Tuesday (Jan. 21) 7 PM EST/3:30 PM PST. If the start of play is delayed for any reason (e.g., air quality), the 11 a.m. Melbourne time deadline stands. Do not be late. We hate making those hard decisions, but we will. This thread will be locked at the deadline, so please don't wait until the last minute or you may find it locked when you hit "post."

If you change your mind after you make your pick, and before the deadline, please make a second post advising us of your change. DO NOT make your change in your original post, as we often go through the posts before closing to begin the task of updating the picks and results, and we might miss a change if you edit your original pick.

Since the object of the game is to pick a player that you are sure is going to win on that day, should your player withdraw, she obviously cannot win her match. You do not get a substitute (lucky loser). You are choosing a player, not a spot in the draw. You might want to scout your player and make sure there is not a known injury or illness issue.

Thanks for joining us! And good luck!

Wednesday’s Order of Play consists of all 16 women's matches from the TOP HALF of the women’s draw.
