I can't remember the last time I thought this about the Grammy nominations, but they made some truly wonderful decisions this year. Lizzo, Beyonce, Karen O., Danger Mouse, Michelle Obama, The Cranberries! And they pretty much forgot about Taylor Swift. Not bad

I don't necessarily dislike the nominations, but I can't remember when I've cared less. And honestly, Lizzo as a new artist? I love that mainstream discovery someone makes them "new". Good as Hell been out for like 3 damn years, whenever the Barbershop movie came out.

I've never understood why they don't rename it "Breakthrough Artist" or something. There have been some absurd winners in that category over the years.
