Semi-finals starting now on Tennis Channel. Qualifying US Open rounds really seems to be stealing the thunder of the tour events this week, so posting just in case anyone was unaware that two matches are to be played tonight.

Is there a reason this final can't be played earlier? If they made it like a 1 or 2 pm final then the players could wrap up no later than 5pm most likely and be on an evening flight to NY. The Bronx Open final could easily take the later TV time slot if that is the issue since travel is a non-issue.

I vegged out last evening and watched the Paire/Hurkacz final on Tivo. I had not previously watched much of Hurkacz. Is anyone else seeing him as a potential superstar? I am probably way behind on discussion of this, having been off the grid for a couple of weeks. Anyway, I really think he displays a very solidly well-rounded game....excellent serve, but not being one of those who lives or dies on the serve alone. And his placement of groundstrokes was wonderful most of the time. We'll see, of course.

I watched him a few times this year and am a fan. Love his game, and his personality on the court, I really hope he gets top ten

Last week was a good week for Poland! With singles and doubles here and Magda Linette winning in the Bronx!
