Very nice crowd in the Bronx this afternoon. It's almost a full house. That's good to see.

Tennis Channel has cut away from the trophy ceremony in the Bronx to show an advert for men's tennis. I can't even

Good analysis. Linette went on to win the tournament. She looked really good against Halep in a three-set loss at Roland Garros, too.

So naturally, they will both be 1st round losers at the USO

Went to the final. Great match and a great, intimate venue where no seat is more than five or six rows back. Only about 45 minutes from Grand Central. What a great event!BronxOpenSmall.jpg - hope it stays in the Bronx.

It is nothing short of eerie how often this is exactly the case. One could have watched this match and thought Linette would be a contender at the US Open. But with too-numerous-to-count past examples of what JT said available, she is far more likely to lose 2 and 2 in the first round to the lowest-ranked qualifier. GH

    I was there too!

Yeah, it was really intimate and because there wasn't much seating it looked packed! It's free but donations went to NYJTL, which is the organization TAT used to do our annual charity drive for - they provide tennis lessons and tutoring to local kids.

As for the match itself, Giorgi had it and gave it away.
