Just been through the women’s suicide picks for tomorrow. It is agony. So many close calls in round one just adds to the “strongest era” discussion

Tatjana Maria is hitting slice from both wings. A verifiable junkyard. But so far, pretty smart.

So Kyrgios win set 3 in over an hour on the tie break, looks really pumped and up for it, then loses the 4th set 0-6 winning just FIVE points in the set. I really hope he loses the 5th so I don’t have to watch him play Rafa

The sad part is, he would probably be super competitive against Nadal because Nick would actually show up for that one.

Whenever he plays Rafa I always put money on him to win, I’ve won a good few quid in the past!

Pathetic effort by Thiem. He got robbed of a two-set lead when a Querrey mishit on set point landed in, and he never recovered. After not even facing a break point in the first two sets, he has been broken four times in a row and is about to be bageled in the fourth set.

I'm actually excited that Nadal vs Kyrgios will take place. It's often a spectacle and certainly no walk in the park for Rafa.

    # 5, 6 and 7 out. I know Thiem is not NextGen and grass is certainly not his forte, plus Querrey's serve is hard to deal with.
But these guys need something extra.

Roger just lost a set to a guy I've never heard of. But it's a 5-set match, so not exactly time to worry about an upset.

I'm the opposite. You keep giving Nick the spectacles he loves, but don't punish him with anything more than a slap on the wrist for the ish that he pulls means he will continue the same behavior and bring an embarrassing look to the sport whenever the heck the mood hits him.

I almost almost put Thiem in the final in my bracket but wisely talked myself out of it...still I had him in the semis.
    Thanks for the medal Johanna!

Look at Thiem and tell me where are no more surface specialists and all surfaces play about the same. Try to keep a straight face while you do it.

Mugu a set down to Haddad Maia!? The Brazilian has won 5 out of 6 matches on grass this year but against much lesser players than Garbine
