    Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2019

I think at this point the performances will be recorded in studios and broadcasted later. Even if the event is closed to the public, it would take a lot of people working together to build the stage. I don't see that happening. That said, I don't see it being canceled at this point either.

Something else being mentioned now is postponing by a few weeks. I'm unsure that that will actually help, but we'll see.

Certainly the right thing to do. Honestly, I was having trouble finding anything I REALLY liked this year, but I still had a lot of listening to do.

    Hopefully next year.

I don't think it was the right thing to do, at least not at this point. I think it should have been postponed for a few months with the expectation that it would be a smaller-scale event, and possibly only via videotaped performances. Either way you have something unprecedented though.

I actually don't anything stopping this from being held virtually to bring some lightness and levity to the world. They could still honor advertisers' commitments, etc. and make money. The songs and corresponding videos all exist, judge based on that rather than the performances, have all voting be audience voting virtually, have Graham Norton host. Solved.

Then hold next year's in Rotterdam as planned hosted by the winning nation.

I totally agree (except maybe the Graham Norton part). The EBU really jumped the gun.
