So tell me again why he gave the point to Kei instead of replaying the point? That was a very bad call by the chair.

    Here's PCB entry:

Lets start with the negative, I fail to see any destruction and seriously doubt there was any.
But what about those pros? What, he managed to throw 4,5,6 racquets all at once?!

He may lack in destruction, but how to turn down such an innovative force and display of anger?

I'm going to dispense an 8 for groundbreaking technique.

    WHOA!

I hadn't seen the video. That takes a lot of strength. Maybe a subcategory of racquet throws with or without the bag included?

There was no destruction so I agree he can't get more than an 8 but still, wow!

It traveled nicely, though. I like a big bounce. But beyond that, yes, meh.

Any you cannot lie? The bounce is the best part, and he just got lucky there. It's a classic throwdown, but lacks both the originality and unbridled rage that we look for. Did it even break?

    Do better, David Goffin.

I forgot to say anything about it when it happened, but Paire had a doozy of a smash earlier today near the end of the first set tiebreaker vs. Wawrinka. The first smash was meh. But the second? Notable stuff. Hopefully someone can find it.

Not sure about these days, but Paire and Wawrinka used to be the best of friends. Like they were with each other so often I was hoping for a groundbreaking announcement...

Anyway, is this it or a different one?

Not sure this gif captures everything though - https://twitter.com/doublefault28/st...41122689318914

Yup, that's it. It has both acts of the play. He tossed his racquet in the first act, realized it was lacking, and then went for more in the second act.

It won't contend to win the year, but it was a respectable entry. And it looks better on TV.

We all know you like a big bounce! The bigger, the better. There was a lot of whimsy in this bounce. It matches his personality. I like it for that reason. But agree, it won't win. It's like comedies winning an Oscar.

Fabio just had a respectable entry from his match against Munar. Minimal effort combined with very respectable racquet damage. After which he used his hands to break it more.

Very respectable. Hopefully someone can find it.

And now Steve Johnson just had one against Schnur. I couldn't see it because the Tennis Channel thinks this "let's show two matches at once on one screen" thing actually works, but I heard it, and afterward, the racquet was in 2 pieces.

Meh. It's okay. Johnson's toss, I think, was much better. But I appreciate the damage done with such minimal effort.
