Bump...don't forget these will be due after tomorrow's play!

I like "paste teams here" in the men's doubles myself

Ugh! Yeah, I did that before. Missed a slam one year and a Masters last year. But I've missed them mid-year. Maybe this early you can go for broke early on and rebound.

Only if the scores are low. Otherwise it becomes impossible.

    Re: Predictions : Australian Open

After day 1, Jazznu and touloups are the only ones with all four finalists left. Touloups is our one who picked Raonic in final, and our one who picked Nadal to win tournament so has a chance to lap the field this week.
    Thanks for the medal Johanna!

    Re: Predictions : Australian Open

There's a lot of uniformity in the ATP and WTA picks. So it seems the results in the doubles may be influential on the final outcome. I thought it would be interesting to look over the picks and see how relatively unique the trio of picks is for each participant. It's a bit of a Band Wagon/Anti-Band Wagon measure. Of course, this is a double edged sword. Having a low Band Wagon measure is only especially helpful if you have a unique set of picks who actually win. If they lose, down the rabbit hole you go.

I counted the number of times any given duo was selected and then assigned that number to the poster picking them, tallied the total across the three draws and rank ordered the result. The lowest score [most unique set of picks] is 3 [provided three picks were made], in which case only that poster picked the three doubles teams they entered. Here's the bottom line ...

Crap = I'm one of the 4 Chan-Chan's who just got bounced.

I'm sure someone will let me know that they never had a Chan's.

Given that I failed to enter a Slam, I'll probably just give up on making my own predictions for the year.
