Didn't they ultimately determine that anxiety was the cause of Mardy Fish's late career medical problems?

The explanation of depression makes much more sense. I believe him this time.
I don't think he is saying in any way that mono didn't end his career. I think he's saying he had severe anxiety and mono ending his career made his mental health even worse.

Yup. He's continued to share his experiences. This is from this May:

I play a lot of USTA leagues, and I have anxiety. I have cried behind the tarp during a match. Had a panic attack during my first-ever match at nationals, sobbing on the court the whole time. Actually played great and lost 7-5, 7-5 - without anxiety, I probably would have won that match. And so many others! But playing helps me confront the anxiety and measure progress. I just can't imagine competing at a high level with anxiety. I wonder if meds are allowed or if most of them violate doping policies. They're anti-depressants.

Dayana is being ripped a new one over that pic. Big Sascha tried to defend her with a can't we all get along defense while others have said that as an Eastern European she's not really aware of what the connotations of blackface are.

I think if Bajin had known she was going to do this he would've stopped her.

Well, not smart in the current climate for sure. But is that really a blackface? Or perhaps I don't know what a "proper" blackface looks like

For sure just lacking context but should still have known to ask someone with context whether this is ok.

The left side of it is her with black skin, not another person... so, yes, blackface.

I think the meaning of it has changed over time. I could be wrong, but I think it used to refer strictly to minstrel blackface makeup, a style that emphasized racially stereotypical features. It now really just means makeup to make a nonblack person look black.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Now, honestly, if it is done in the modern sense, why would it be bad? It's not emphasizing stereotypes...

Or is it because the previous version was racist, now it's seen as politically incorrect?

She is painted black on one side, white in the other. Her "black" hand is caressing her "white face", and vice versa.
Could it be, could it just maybe be she is trying to represent "we are all the same, and we should all love each other"? Her hashtag is "EQUALITY".
Could it be she is trying to exactly mean that?

(I am having another conversation about this subject precisely. Immediate response from people*: anger. Without giving the thing a thought).

Just like the N-word, blackface in any form is simply unacceptable in the US because of its past connotation to dehumanize.

Weird conversation between a Swiss, a Canadian, a couple of South Americans, and an American who was born elsewhere. Lol.

    That was my guess.

Is it worth discussing if things that USED to be bad can change leaving behind that tag and be acceptable in their newer forms?

I mean, a religious person might argue that the answer is YES when talking about the Church... and I'm sure there are many, many more examples.
