Sock is the sole player, in all of the double teams, with some singles' credentials. Which proves that even the best doubles player in the world is truly far from making it as a singles player. If any of the top single players were to play in the doubles competition, no contest.
(Remember Rafa won Olympic doubles gold with Marc Lopez (who?))

Re: ATP WTF London 11/11-11/18 2018

Kudos to Annabelle Croft telling the crowd to be more respectful.

Anyone who missed it, during the tie break, Zverev stopped the point mid rally due to a ball boy dropping the ball onto the court, which is in the rules. But obviously the pro-Fed crowd booed the Hell out of him for it, and pretty much didnít stop until he went up for his interview. The first thing he did was apologise and say thatís the rules and Roger agreed with him over it. Sue Barker has just said she was ashamed that a British crowd could behave that way!
Zverev seemed genuinely apologetic and even over-awed that he had beaten Roger here. Iím glad I watched it because I normally hate on Zverev but he seemed genuinely humble in this situation and I like him just that little bit more for it

Why should anyone apologize for making sure the rules are applied?

Anyway Sascha put his money where his mouth is this time.

    Plus:
The ball was rolling on Roger's side. If anything, Zverev was making sure Roger would not step on the ball with the possibility of injury, which is why the rule is there in the first place.
    Plus:
Zverev stops the point, Bernardes confirms that the ball was indeed rolling on the court. Why did Roger ask the ball kid by the umpire's chair to confirm? Are we at the point that the umpires are not to be believed?
What Liam said. Good for Croft and Baker to put the crowd in their place. What if indeed Roger had stepped on the ball and injured themselves? Would all the Fedfans be happy?
Let's wait for Fed to talk about it.

The French crowd is the French crowd. But the crowd behaved unbelievably poorly at the US Open and now this. Booing the winner goes against everything that tennis is. Let's hope it's not a trend.

Since the kid dropped the ball behind Fed, he obviously did not see it. Carlos did not see it either. The kid Fed talked to was the same kid that dropped the ball. He was by the chair umpire at that point because he was supposed to be there, and once the point was interrupted, he ran from the back of the court to the position where he was supposed to be.

Anyone watching the final? Iíve got it on but Iíll switching over when Strictly Come Dancing starts! Zverev has broken to go 5-4 and will serve for the set. Itís hardly the most exciting match Iíve ever seen but itís better than watching the Antiques Roadshow

With the ball bouncing from Ne right now, I could watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy before he takes his serve

Re: ATP WTF London 11/11-11/18 2018

Zverev breaks! Serving at 6-4 1-0 now. To me itís all a bit like a Djok Murray match-trading crosscourt groundies until someone pulls the trigger and misses or hits a winner. Zverevs first serve percentage is in the mid 80s
