    First-set tie-breaker, of course.

Guess my phone did an auto-miscorrect on that one.

Speaking of whom, just announced that Raonic has withdrawn with an elbow injury. If it's not one thing, it's another.

Saw Dimitrov playing a bit earlier, and he was almost unrecognizable.

And Novak Djokovic is the new #1, starting next week. For how long will he keep it?
    (I would say, two years)

Verdasco got a warning for obscenity. Dumusois refused to tell him what he heard. Fernando called the supervisor, refused to talk to the umpire, pointed out that Dumusois treats him like that every match

Every seed/higher ranked player won today-except Verdasco. This is unusual in Paris no? I remember this as the tournament that usually throws up constant upsets

Seems like a stronger field than usual for this tournament. Not as many top players out with injury withdrawals?

It was inevitable, but still, he won two more matches than I assumed he would this week.

His attempt to come back into relevancy should be interesting. Unlike Stan's drop in the rankings post-injury, I'd assume Sock won't be gifted the same number of wild cards outside of the US since he's not a GS winner. I see a lot of qualifying rounds in his future.

So he's outside the top 100 in singles, and though he's ranked among the best in the world in doubles he'll soon be without a partner. He should be pushing for a rule change that allows players to use their doubles ranking for singles entry - works the other way around.

FYI, the Federer vs. Djokovic match starting now. On Tennis Channel if you're in the US.

3rd set tiebreak beginning. It's been a close and entertaining match. Federer vs Djokovic 6-7 7-5 6-6

If he hadn't won those two matches, he would have fallen out of the top 150. Those were big for him. I think he's 105 now. He's in a very tricky spot, because whenever he makes the late rounds of doubles, it'll prevent him from showing up early for qualifying for the next week.

I think he has a truly bad attitude, maybe one of the worst on tour. If he sorts himself out, I hope he learns to stop screaming at chair umpires. Multiple chair umpires were "the worst he's ever seen" this year.
