I like how Priyanka and Nick Jonas worked into this thread. That relationship makes no sense.

I wouldn't compare celebrity relationships to professionals approaching their career management...

Yes, I'd more compare it to past players, like JJ and Aga, who had a few great years and then a precipitous drop. However, I will say that I think Sabalenka is more athletic than both of them and has a more aggressive game, so that might work in her favor.

I think Sabalenka will manage her schedule better once she gets firmly entrenched in the top 10. She's chasing points right now to get there.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about her yet.

However, he coach Tursunov notoriously played through injuries for years - I'd guess that's what cut his career short.

I don't keep up with the WTA rules, but once in the top 10 she will also have restrictions put on her as to how many of which tournaments she can play.

As for chasing points, you don't have to play every tournament on the schedule. You just need to do really well in the tournaments that you choose to play. See the current ATP #2 and #3.

Tursunov could play every week because he had Wednesday through Sunday free almost always. Sabalenka has Slam potential.
Players are all different. I remember Henri Laconte once said he was completely burnt out and needed to take a break. He needed to "put down the rackets for two, three days" (paraphrased).
I would not worry about her either.
