    No shame in losing to another top player. And she is gaining consistency in reaching the last stages of tournaments.
    Good for Naomi, a bit better for Pliskova.

    Just saw the highlights. Pliskova's defensive slice was great. She played a smart, clean match. Osaka got tired and fizzled a little. She lost the last 9+ points in a row.

    Pliskova's win moves her into #8 in the race over Bertens, who also won a title, but drops to #9.
