    Yes I heard him say that, and I've absolutely seen him take the bag. But that's only partly true no matter what he says for the mere fact that he's not on the court like that often enough for it to be a true always.

    Maybe he means practice, and right after the match in the tunnel. I thought he took the bag because she was hurt.

    Look, I believe that she was injured as you've told me and has been reported, but I do wonder if playing Maria on clay might've helped her sway the decision.

    As Charlie said, this is her first WD EVER at a Slam. And I keep coming back to the following, were the match at Wimbledon against Errani, would she have withdrawn? I'm thinking no.

    Again, not that playing Maria on clay had to be the sole definer of the decision, but it might've been a factor.
