Thread: The NFL Thread

    The NFL Thread

No, it is not too early:
Tony Romo leaves Cowboys game with back injury

Jimmy Jones' fingers must be trembling on his old fashioned flip phone to dial Johnny Manziel's number. Bet on it.

    Stephen Jones says absolutely no.

Besides, the Cowboys accidentally made a good QB pick in Prescott. He's looked shockingly comfortable running the offense.

    You mean Jerry Jones, right?

And if Manziel doesn't answer he could probably teach Ryan Lochte to throw a football.
    Oh Grigor. You silly man.

Jimmy, Jerry, Johnny. I only remember it starts with a J. As in Jerk.

If Romo were to miss time I can't see them not signing anyone and going with a pre season star myself...that said, who's really out there? Hasselback? Vick? Maybe they could go with Prescott.

My first thought was that Romo was just being a candy ass, then I saw the hit. I could see how the way his back was bent forward could have hurt pretty bad.

Well, the Dak Prescott era has begun! Tony Romo broke a bone in his back and is out 6 to 10 weeks.

Tony Romo will never get a ring. He is snake bitten. I find it sad because he seems to be a good guy and is a good quarterback (heck, if Eli can have two rings...).

You know, twice a year during the football season we have the customary Cowboys versus Redskins games.
Well folks, the first encounter is about to begin in about half an hour.

A pair of 0-1 teams are about to go at it. I will be watching. It should be fun, it always is. Somehow, the Redskins always come up with the short end of the stick!

The Pittsburgh Steelers mauled Washington Redskins here last week in Washington and this week, it's the Cowboy's turn.
Pittsburgh plays Cincinnati this week, That should be interesting as well, it's always like that between division rivals.

Time to start worrying about Seattle. What a stinker.

There is nothing so satisfying as watching pete Carroll lose a football game.

I have never understood why he is so loathed. He is no more of an A--hole than Belicheck or Buddy Ryan. And certainly has never cheated as much as the Patriots.

I don't loathe him specifically (though as a Packers fan Seattle is currently near the top of my hated teams list for a few reasons.) But there is something about how crazy and ballistic and wild he goes about nearly every call that doesn't go their way when his team is losing that is just so enjoyable.

Watching Belichek lose is not as fun as he is so emotionless and boring.
