    2016 IW Women's Day 8 (Wed) Thread

Welcome to Day 8 of the Women's BNP Paribas at Indian Wells Suicide Pool.

Your Day 8 Women's choice is from the 2 women's quarterfinal matches from the TOP half of the women's draw. As always, you will be making one pick each day, and once you use a player, you cannot use them again for the remainder of the tournament.

Post your Day 8 Women's selection by responding in this thread. Since the Indian Wells (and Miami) games are both "practice" pools, we will not keep a formal Picks and Results thread, so it is your responsibility to self-score your way through the tournament. We encourage you to do this by listing all your previous picks in your post for each day (simply cut and paste from the day before), as this has proven the best way to track your picks from our experience.

Your Day 8 Women's Pick is due no later than 11:00 a.m. (PT) on Wednesday, March 16 - that is 2:00 p.m. East Coast time.

Good luck! Here are your Day 8 choices:

[1] Serena Williams vs [5] Simona Halep
[3] Agnieszka Radwanska vs [8] Petra Kvitova
Winston, a.k.a. Alvena Rae Risley Hiatt (1944-2019), RIP

Okie dokey! So we'll either have a winner today or be down to two... Today's picks are:

    Radwanska, 2
    Kvitova, 1

    Good luck, everyone!

    And then there were two.

Congrats you two. I foolishly hoped that Petra's streak of winning 3 set matches would actually serve her well ... but I guess not.

You put up an exceptional fight, texasniteowl, and it was definitely Petra's turn to win against ARad, but apparently it just wasn't meant to be.

So we're now down to two... I don't know about Omegadoom, but I am thoroughly dreading the next pick. Or two.

Well, I am sort of happy? to be done. The draw played out in such a way I would have run out of picks had I actually made it to the final!

    Have fun!
