    Re: 2016 AO YCWJ: Scoreboard/Lounge

    Here is the endgame scenario:
Tenedab is currently in the lead. And we have only two active picks left.
if Serena loses in the final, then MysterX wins.
If Kerber loses in the final, then deelighted2 wins.
If either Radwanska or Konta lose in the final, tenedab wins.

I'm still watching today's matches so dunno if it's still possible or not...but if that happens that would be pretty amazing.

Good luck, deelighted2. You are definitely the favorite, but maybe Angie will pull off a miracle.

    Re: 2016 AO YCWJ: Scoreboard/Lounge

For what it's worth, in 1990, Edberg won the Wooden Spoon at the U.S. Open. He won all three hard court tournament he played in between Wimbledon and the Open, entered as the No. 1 seed … and lost to Volkov in the first round, starting the chain of event.

Edberg then won the U.S. Open in 1991 and 1992, so Nadal has so company in the greatest-ever Wooden Spoon winners department.

Didn't know that...thanks for the info. Nadal possibly winning wooden spoon is one of my "favorite"/neat stats from this year's AO.

    "Help Wanted"

When Moose stepped down from running the Suicide Draw Pool, several of our contest staff took the opportunity to get "promoted" to running the Suicide Pool. However, we have not yet filled in behind the people who got "promoted". So, we are looking for people who will be willing to help run contests, primarily the fantasy tennis team contest and YCWJ. We work in pairs, with one person usually doing most of the work and the other person keeping a separate track of the scores to help check for errors. We will need you to have EXCEL since we use "programmed" EXCEL workbooks for keeping score. If you are willing to help, please send a "private message" to both me and Drop-shop. If you don't recognize "private message", just reply to this thread after the final scores are up.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I will be willing to do Around The World. Last time I did this was 2003 but I kept my spreadsheet so I am ready to go.

Congratulations to mysterX, the winner of YCWJ. He had the WTA wooden spoon holder, Klara Koukalova, on his team, as did Omegadoom. No one had the ATP wooden spoon holder on their team, who happened to be Rafael Nadal

Congrats to MysterX, and thanks again to the organizers. This was great fun as always, though I did about as well as I can seem to do at YCWJ!! GH
