Women's Day 2 (Tues) AOSP Pick

G'Day and welcome to Day 2 of our 11th Annual Australian Open Women’s Suicide Pool. If your Day 1 player lost, you are not allowed to pick again. Sorry.

Also, please remember that you will be making one pick EACH DAY of the women’s event (NOT one each round), and once you use a player, you can never use her again. Please check the Picks & Results thread for the women's pool to verify that your previous pick was correctly entered and that you are still alive in the women's pool.

It is very important you follow the schedule of play for the day posted below. This may be the first round, but only half of the draw plays Tuesday.

Post your Day 2 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in Melbourne, rain or shine. For day 2, that’s Tuesday (Jan. 20), 11:00 AM in AUSTRALIA. For those in the U.S., that is Monday (Jan. 19) 7:00 PM EST. Please do not be late, as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will. This thread will be locked at the deadline, so please don't wait until the last minute or you may find it locked when you hit "post."

If you change your mind after you make your pick, and before the deadline, please make a second post advising us of your change - PLEASE DO NOT make your change in your original post, as we often go through the posts before closing to begin the task of updating the picks and results, and we might miss a change if you edit your original pick.

Since the object of the game is to pick a player that you are sure is going to win on that day, should your player withdraw, she obviously cannot win her match. You do not get a substitute (lucky loser) - you have chosen a player, not a spot in the draw. You might want to scout your player and make sure there is not a known injury or illness issue.

    Best of luck!

Tuesday’s Order of Play consists of all 32 women's matches from the TOP half of the women’s draw. Of special note for this half of the draw--if you pick a Williams or a Zheng, you MUST specify which one. Make sure your pick is absolutely clear--or it will be rejected.

Please note that Cepalova is OUT. She has been replaced in the draw by Putinseva (KAZ). The draw has been updated.
