Was worth finding the fourth quarter on a crappy stream.

A fantastic game for everybody except Spurs fans.
The Clippers win despite hitting three fewer points FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES.
Houston must be salivating. There is no way the Clips can recover so fast and Houston has been resting for days. If Houston does not win that series, they are simply unworthy of being in the West conference.
Good bye Manu. Thanks for all the crazy points throughout the years.

Good Bye to Parker, Manu and Duncan. Will Popovich stay and supervise the rebuilding or will a new coach come in effectively dismantling what Pop has built there? Can they build a team around Kawhi Leonard?

It's going to be an interesting couple of years in San Antonio.

Popovich said that he, Duncan and Ginobili will return but lets see what a few months will do to them.

    Re: The NBA Thread

I agree Manu is leaving, but Parker (certainly) and Duncan (very probable) will stay. So will Pops. He said it early in the season, that with the new talent he thought it would be fun to hang around. And he loves Kawhi.
They will have salary cap for either Albridge (who is from Texas, although Dallas, so maybe he hates San Antonio) or for Kevin Love (I don't see him too much in love being nothing more than Lebron's minion). Trade Tiago or Boris away (I'd trade Tiago), keep Green and either Mills/Joseph and do some Spurs Magical-Finding-Overseas and you could have a starting lineup of Duncan, Albridge/Love, Parker, Green and Kawhi. You are still in the mix for championship level.
Plus: you get two months of extra rest and a slightly higher pick. I am very sad they lost, but the Southwest division next year can be theirs again.
    If Duncan stays.

    Sour Pus loser comment:
What is the most successful shot in the NBA? Heave a three pointer against the Spurs from anywhere in the court with one second remaining at the end of regulation of any quarter. Chance of success: 98%
(Paul last night, and throughout the season, Kyrie Irving, Marc Gasol, Damian Lilllard, Mario Chalmers, etc, etc. All went in. With the exception of Chalmer's, all tied the game, which then the Spurs lost))

    Update as promised.

    First round scores:

    West
Golden State Warriors win series 4-0
    Houston Rockets win series 4-1
    LA Clippers win series 4-3
    Memphis Grizzlies win series 4-1

    East
    Atlanta Hawks win series 4-2
    Cleveland Cavaliers win series 4-0
    Chicago Bulls win series 4-2
    Washington Wizards win series 4-0

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the Conference Semi Order:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    EAST

    (1) Atlanta/(5) Washington

    (3) Chicago/(2) Cleveland

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    WEST

    (1) Golden State/(5) Memphis

    (3) LA Clippers/(2) Houston

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Interestingly identical!!

    Re: The NBA Thread

I don't think the Clippers have any energy left for the first game, and that will make the difference. Also, Howard is back for Houston and he can contain Jordan.
If I were a gambling man, indeed, Atlanta and Cleveland. But if Washington pulls the upset, I would not be surprised. And Cleveland without Love (rest of season) and Smith (two games) may be a bit vulnerable.
Plus Noah hates Lebron, so he puts one more gear on.

So much for the Clippers not having energy after the Spurs series.
    Good job, Rockets!

    Re: The NBA Thread

Each team has now played one game in the second round.
The only favorite team that won was the top seed in West conference. The other 3 games went to under-dogs.

Two more games tonight, 2 set for tomorrow. By Thursday, we could be half done with this round.

Can you say that Chicago is the favorite over Cleveland since Love and Smith are out. In Smith's case, 2 games.
