    My tally shows, todays picks:

    Nadal 8
    Blake 7
    Nalbandian 2
    Haas 2
    Murray 1
    Gonzalez 1

Intersting that absolutely no one made a pick in the Davydenko - Berdych match. Too much of a toss-up, or saving it for later?

We may have as many as 17 left after today, or as few as 4!
There were people who picked Davydenko, PT. They just happened to pick Gasquet first

Yeah, I wasn't counting them...I remembered seeing his name in the threads.

Had any of the previous losers picked Berdych?

But seriously, nice ptmcmahon, and congrats to the rest of us for having done well.

    All the best,

Take this for what it's worth too...I'm only one left in both and are quite often first or second to make my picks when the new threads come up (since I've been working nights, though that changes tomorrow.) Maybe shows you that it is good to go with gut.

That doesn't mean I don't spend hours thinking about it!

    I really AM laughing!

    Now, Murray!

    Re: Berdych

When I filled out the draws pre-tournament, I picked him to go to the final. Weird, but so far this strategy has been very effective for me, with the only big decision thus far being the outcome of the Nalba/Haas match. I chose correctly and I get to keep playing my picks as I have been. It's a nice feeling (that will be even nicer if either Berdych or Gonzalez make the semis as I had guessed).
    I'll miss you!

And 8 more STILL waiting on the Nadal match. Looks like they're going to finish it "tonight", even though it's almost 1:30 AM. Long day on center court, they played for most of my shift last night, and half of my shift today so far!

So that's what...11 left now? I'll call my finish a tie for 12th then (and thus my womens finish a tie for 6th.)

Re: "UPDATED" - AOSP MENS Picks & Results Thread

Looks like only one person lost? (Fish picker)

If Roddick beats Federer, only JBIMH can win it.

It's also funny how it worked out. Yesterday there was a group of us who decided Nadal was the one worth saving until later, while others decided to save Blake. Those of us who were right about Nadal wound up eliminated because we picked Blake. Those who didn't believe in Nadal later on won because they relied on him yesterday. Interesting how being right later on can sometimes hurt you in the present
