Suliso, to answer the second part of your question, Mary still has not retired. Her WTA page just shows her as inactive, and loving Jesus.

She is also doing some juniors coaching in Africa.

Mary fan here! I also read somewhere that she spends a lot of time in Maritius coaching.

I don't understand the not-retired status. Seles never officially retired either but in reality they both have. Wertheim brought this up before years ago and I recalled it has something do with health insurance coverage. Does anyone have any idea?

I don't know either, but all this outrage seems just a bit too much to me. Ivanovic-Hantuchova incident was forgotten very quickly, maybe this one will be as well. We'll see...

I would think so; while I think it was poor sportsmanship and borderline cheating what Vika did, it's not like it really affected the outcome of the match. Sloane lost because she was hitting all her groundstrokes 10 feet long behind the baseline, and not because of a badly timed MTO.

Still, Vika deserves to take her knocks for a bit, I think, but the tennis world will get over it.
