Re: The I HATE!!!! the Suicide Pools Thread.
Personally, I think it's a bit much for someone who is sitting there with several medals to be complaining about this when many people have none. No-one likes a whiner, especially one who is laden with shiny precious metal.
And I'd also just like to thank the mods for all their efforts in arranging these contests.

Re: The I HATE!!!! the Suicide Pools Thread.
My only rules are:
*Avoid any match with Roger-Vasselin, Karlovic or Stepanek
*Try to avoid matches with Chinese.
*Only pick seeds unless Hewitt has an easy R-1 match.

Re: The I HATE!!!! the Suicide Pools Thread.
I always seem to forget to play the AO pool. It's so early in the year. My new year's resolution next year should be to not forget about it.
The only general guideline I like to follow is to pick players to win rather than pick against players you think will lose. You never know when a given player is going to decide to show you exactly why they're a professional tennis player. I've found this works better for the men than for the women. Perhaps in the next women's suicide pool I should pick against players I think will lose. So many headcases, so many options.

Never Davydenko or Cilic EVER
Bondarenko and U Radwanska have also taken me out too.

This does not pay off for me the way it should

Luckily, Aravane Rezai is not getting into these events to tempt me.

This is likewise my golden rule, unless unavoidable in the latter stages of the pool. This is why it's easy for me to pick Seppi over Chardy, who knocked me out of USOSP 2012 by losing to Klizan. Even if Chardy wins, then Seppi just joins him into my Do Not Pick list.

I, too, have decided to institute a no Youzhny rule. Frickin' Youzhny!
