BTW- we did watch the first set Mayer tiebreaker live. Well, HEY, Mayer played THAT well..... (THANK goodness, we had enough common sense not to watch the rest of THAT insanity.....)

-Excuse my friend. Early Saturday. Now, on with the commentary. Today we'll be using the Mirka scale by which she shows how confident -or not- she is based on her Roger spectator activity.
Baker 36: she's watching the match. (that can't be too reassuring)
Cilic 43: not only is she watching the match but keeping track of the score!
Del Potro 43: mild texting with intervals of glimpses of points
Ferrer 6: she's put down her cell phone to begin watching
Fish 8: she's watching and fidgeting
Goffin 14: watching the match with mentally "checked out" stare
Kohlschreiber 9 (some people hadn't used him?! ) : she's breastfeeding
Murray 2: talking with Gavin and Anne Wintour in the box
Paire 2: she's focused on the match and celebrating points!
Roddick 2: she's put down her cell and turned it off!
Tsonga 5: calculating Roger's winnings this round and seeing what she can buy
Began with 174 and 4 NPs.

Re: Men's Picks & Results
I'm still a little surprised Goffin was a more popular pick than Fish. I took Fish but kept wondering if there was something everyone knew that I didn't...

I can't corroborate now, but it's around there. I'm pretty sure we're close to some kind of record.

I can't believe I'm saying this, considering the guy was playing a Futures event this time last year, but I think I picked Baker a round too early. I think he's got a real shot to beat Kohlschreiber and get to the quarters. What a great story. Can't wait for Monday; I don't think I'll be too productive at work.

That's the nice thing about Wimbledon: you don't get hurt as much as easily for picking someone too early.
Cannonballing back to the top of the game.

I overestimated how tired Mardy seemed to be after his second round 5-setter, and figured he had gone far enough for a first tournament back after all his health issues. I knew Goffin was a risky pick, but I didn't see a lot of good choices today. I picked PEHK already, I expect JMDP to make the quarters, and I thought Roddick had a good chance to beat Ferrer (but not good enough to pick him in SP.)
My other option was Cilic, but I looked at the head-to-head with Sam and saw that Cilic had won both meetings, but with a scoreline that looked a lot like today's. When you have one or two couple of close wins like that, I tend to think the other guy is going to turn things around. (Now that Cilic has won three of these kinds of matches, I will reverse my position and say that Cilic "owns" Querrey, and will win every future match between the two.)

Re: Men's Picks & Results
Can not believe I am not still in tournament. Picked Mayer day 5, and Del Potro Day 6. Says no pick for Day 5. Very frustrating to say the least

There's no post in the Day 5 thread.
