Good luck to all. Scoreboards will be posted after each round finishes, and there will be a pick tracker up starting after the first round as well. If you have any questions, please ask them in this thread, not here.

Scores through the end of the 1st Round


We've got the best of times and the worst of times at once in the first round. Ptmcmahon achieved the first perfect first round of the year, and stands 4 points ahead of his nearest rivals.

Those rivals with 16 are TennisAnyone74 and usual suspects Charlie02123 and Martini4me.

As far as I know, ponchi101 has posted the lowest first round score ever, with a lonely 1 point. Although it's not final yet, congratulations on the earliest clinching of the wooden spoon contest's wooden spoon, barring a wooden spoon win for Naomi Broady.

So. Out of ten picks I made for this tournament, I was wrong in 8. How much less can anybody know about this sport?

At the end of day two, six of my losers had managed to win their first match, with one yet to finish. So, I expected to have a sizeable lead in the race for the wooden spoon. But now I see that I have been totally out-classed.

Wow - lost all four of my loser men who turned out to be winners, but my women are intact. I usually don't do so well with the ladies.

Looking ahead, I think I only lost my #3 dude and scored 14 points. It looks like Ptmcmahon may score ANOTHER perfect round if Querrey beats Raonic. Has that ever happened before? Very impressive.

Going another round ahead, Ptmcmahon and I face off in two different matches. My #1 ATP loser is now Falla, his #2 is Istomin. They play each other in the third round. My #3 WTA loser is now Wickmayer, his #1 is now Paszek. They play each other in the third round.

To have any chance of taking the lead, I just became a big ol' fan of Istomin and Paszek.

Just glanced at my gal pals sharing second place with me. Looks like they both doubled their points in the next round and I didn't, so I may need even more luck to take the lead. Time to sacrifice a goat!

Round 2 was very kind to almost all participants. Few lost more than 1 pick. Ptmcmahon posted another 20-point round, our first in the second round in contest history!

Behind ptmcmahon are TennisAnyone74 and Martini4me, both of whom doubled their scores as well. They're 8 points behind him with 32.

Ponchi101 still has his pick remaining, so we'll have to wait at least another round for him to clinch the lowest score ever.

Got my first two "winners" today in Istomin and Clijsters...it did HAVE to end at some point. A #2 and a #4 so it didn't hurt too too much.

After the third round, people have finally lost a few picks and the picture of the contenders has cleared out a bit. Ptmcmahon will still be difficult to catch with 49, but it's not unthinkable.

Martini4me and Charlie02123 are in second and third with 41 and 40, respectively, but they've got a ways to go to catch ptmcmahon.

Ponchi101 has clinched the lowest score in this contest's history. I guess this is somewhat like golf, but unfortunately for him, we don't score like it.
