You don't need to sign up officially. When the order of play is released you will see threads posted with titles similar to 'Ladies Day 1 Wimbledon SP Picks'.
Post your picks in the appropriate threads and you are in the game.

    Good luck!

Can you clarify exactly what I need to do to get one of those lovely little medals next to my name? I made it through to the final once, which I thought might be enough for a bronze medal, but it wasn't! Will keep trying
    Thanks

No silver and bronze medals in the SP. Gold or bust!

Yes, Mr_Socko, unlike some of our other contests, we only award a medal to those who win a Suicide Pool. So, sometimes we only give one, and sometimes (to our "official medal giver outer" DryRunGuy's consternation) we award twenty.

The medal is given to he/she/those who are the last ones standing at the end of the game.

I'll be rooting for you to win one this time around.

so, just to clarify for me, being a noob, if you miss your first Day's Ladies pick, you're out of the Ladies part of the pool, correct?

My pick is playing right now, so I hope I won't get Panetta'd.

Correct, MediaGrrl. Your player must win for you to advance to Day 2. And the mens and ladies games are played seperately, so if your ladies pick goes out, you are still alive in the mens game (assuming of course that your mens pick won).

Am a bit confused. The matches listed for the men here said Andreev would be playing WC Golding. Which may explain the 49 picks. But he's actually playing Bernard Tomic. Is this an error on the part of the SP organisers, because I doubt so many of us would have picked against Tomic.

Answered this in the other thread as well, Pudding - but to make sure we're covered.

Both the draw, and the Wimbledon live scoreboard have Igor playing Golding. We post what is on the draw, and the order of play.

Are you certain that he is playing Tomic? Because Tomic is not scheduled to play until tomorrow.

I think you confused Golding and Goffin, pudding. Their names are similar and they are both wild cards. But, Tomic plays Goffin tomorrow.

Got a question about the suicide pool in general. Do you guys give out medals only if you beat the draw or even if someone is the last man standing?

What happens to the matches that do not even start because of the rain delay?

Medals are only awarded to the last players remaining, Klatwien. Sometimes, that means those who beat the draw, though often the game ends sooner than that.

We'll have some form of instruction, either as a separate post, or in the Days pick thread, JJ.
