Just checked out my team, post-Nadal.

If the men's semis ends up Gasquet, Federer, Raonic/Baghdatis, and Kohlschreiber, and the women's final is Clijsters v Kvitova, maybe I'll even squeak out a medal!

It's time for me to embrace my inner Lukas Rosol.

I think most of the top teams have Nadal - the top ones who don't are looking way better now. I was thinking for awhile of going with Djokovic and 2 A women and definitely wishing I had now.

And the worst part is I/we used a trade to get him (Nadal!)

In light of today's bandwagon crash, I feel better about the pointlessness of my trading McHale in for Petrova.

Ouch...2 for 6 today, and one of those wins came only because they faced another one of my players.

Even worse, I may very well be better off having used none of my trades this week... adding Sharapova and Nadal for Federer and Kvitova may have killed me.

Without making ANY trades, I could have kept Petra and Tamira on my team- instead of Kim and Maria. (Albeit, I also could have kept Kim on my team and dumped out Erakovic instead of Tamira- as I had thought at the time that at least Erraticvic would get me a few more points than Tamira. ) AND......who knew that I could have had way more points from keeping Ferrer instead of dumping him for Nadal.

NOW I don't have to admit to being dry-esque- this potential pretty little imaginary medal for me is QUITE dead. I think I only have Roger left.

P.S. This could be two years in a row where not going with Petra- my second favorite women's player (I went with Maria for the win last year in the pool when I could have gone with Petra- who HAD been my pick to win before last year's Wimbledon began)- will bite me in my pretty-little-imaginary-medal ass.

Thought I'd be unique and pick Venus...but noooooooo she had to go lose.

......WELL, my initial plan HAD been to put V on my team. HEY- at least Kim got me more points than V!!!! I feel SO much better now.

Paszek got me 1015 points. Not counting what Djokovic will do, that is over double what my next best player got me (500 for Ferrer, who I may regret trading out.) Vinci and Malisse next...if only my A players had performed as well as my scrubs.
