Perhaps. But we have 5 matches setting precedents.
And we ARE NOT Mary Carillo. We know little about this...

Nole's a bit timid in the last few games. Keeping the rallies THAT long is probably not the best idea fo him.

Serena acted like an ass-clown. Carillo said as much.
I like Mary but I think her choice of words was outrageously unprofessional. She sounded like a WWE wrestler (quite literally). Ass-clown? Really? The second coming of Edward R. Murrow she is not.

Wouldn't say it's timidity. It can take a lot of shots to break Rafa's defending.....and sometimes it doesn't break

To be clear, Serena's behavior WAS unacceptable. But then it has to be unacceptable for men, too. Otherwise, it's a sexist point of view on the part of Mary Carillo that reinforces that machismo among guys is fine but women should have to conform to an unequal standard. That's just not right. Condemn it all, regardless of the perpetrator. Or say nothing.
Based on the amounts of the fines, the USTA seems to have it in good perspective, or at least close. Mary's missing the boat and grinding the ax of her choosing.
But during the interview she wasn't asked about Bryan or Petzschner. She was asked about Serena and the incident yesterday.
I don't know if you listened to the interview, but she also called Serena "a remarkable talent" and "a great champion". She said she's happy that Serena is healthy again and that the sport needs her.

Nadal is really damp again. Sweat is just pouring off of him. Like a continuous drip off his nose during service preparations. I don't remember him being quite so wet all the time before this year.

Also, who got the warning about time violation? Or did that even happen? The USO website video commentators weren't clear (or didn't know themselves).

Perfect game for Novak. "Hey, Rafa. Back to serve!" In one minute.
