RIP I.M. Pei, who has died at age 102. What a life he led and how grateful we are for the gorgeous structures he left behind.

Another Columbine fatality: Austin Eubanks, who survived gunshot wounds at Columbine, only to become addicted to narcotics as a result of his pain regimen afterward, had died at age 37. While the details of his death were not clear in the article I read, his parents have stated that the death was directly related to his addiction problem. At times it appeared he had whipped his addiction problem, but apparently there was some form of relapse.

Just another reminder that the residual trauma of mass shootings will last at least until the last survivors and surviving immediate family members are all gone.

Read his Wikipedia page. He was quite a character.

The Larry Sanders Show is a brilliant piece of television. Rip Torn was one of the reasons why.

    Very sad news received today.

Peter McNamara, former Top 10 singles tennis player and multiple Grand Slam doubles champions, has died at the age of 64.

As a player he was best known for his doubles partnership with compatriot Paul McNamee.
