Yeah, I didn't realize that she often uses a wheelchair to get around.

The beauty of the story is that she got there at all. Doesn't matter how.

I certainly am an admirer of her but I find this to be such a weird non-story.

The woman was shot in the head. Now she's standing at the top of a mountain. I don't care how she got there.
It's a beautiful story.

I was struggling to find the words to express how seeing Gabby standing at the top of that mountain made me feel. Still haven't quite found them. Seeing her daring to stand where the photographer said he got vertigo is nothing short of amazing. After all she was reported dead before the story was corrected.
Congratulations to Gabby. Continued success.

Exactly - She went from 6 feet under, to 12,000 feet above.
Glad to see you found it as inspiring as I did, Dry and Ti.

It even made the news over here on this side of the atlantic, I think everyone was just delighted to see what a good recovery she has made.
Great to see some good news for a change.

It's a pleasant counterpoint to recent events. Symbolism of healing and persevering over tragedy.

Yes, of course.
I suppose my reaction is rooted in having been fortunate enough to take one of these gondola rides in Switzerland and knowing the outing is accessible for a person of handicap -- you arrive, part in the lot, buy a ticket, take the gondola up. Once up there, there is usually a coffee shop and a few short trails in a couple of directions that you can take advantage of for some pretty spectacular photo-ops.

Story is circulating that Gabby will lead the Pledge Of Allegiance to open tomorrow night's events at the Convention.
