Re: The Wimbledon SP LOSERS LOUNGE is OPEN for Business!

Yesterday everything was fine. And today I have two throbbing tender full cheeks of tennis embarrassment.

Of course, I should have known that making the final of Eastbourne, and going up two sets to love was a sign of pure unbridled doom for Garcia-Lopez against a guy with a career total of one (1) ATP tour win to his credit (if wimbledon.org is to be believed). That was just crazy gambling on my part, and frankly, I deserved to go down in flames with such wanton irresponsibility.

(On the other hand I'll admit that I was tempting fate by picking Petkovic over Chakvetadze.)

I need something layered and strong. And preferably something which is not an onion.

I'll defer to those who are more familiar with what drink is appropriate since I'm better at recommending wines and "girly" drinks

I'll take a nice mix of Crown Royal and 7-Up.

You stay awake until 0530 watching tennis and when you do get up four hours later and get around to checking your results you discover you're half-cheeked.

Don't these players realise the dedication we put in.

    Stupid Tanasugarn!

Jessie, An Irish coffee please seeing that I'm not long up. Cheers.

I love to have you join me. We can even have Ms. Tanasugarn join us in a toast to her career. It has been some time I think that you could not count on Tammy getting out of the first round at Wimbledon!

Jessie, I noticed that you posted a Tegan and Sara video and that is says "Steel Train" on it. Okay, so when I saw T&S in concert a few months ago (that I texted you from ) Steel Train was one of the two openers, and they were hi-lar-i-ous. (Not intentionally so, sadly...) Everything sounded like a bad 80's cover. As such, I'm scared to watch what you posted. :P
    I'll miss you!

Beginners (bad)luck... my first (but not last) try at the SP..

Got through the first day in the men's (I won't mention the fact that Baltacha somehow lost on day 1) I then made the mistake of thinking Mr. Baghdatis was a safe pick yesterday against Lucas Lacko... in fact I was thinking of not picking Baghdatis so i could pick him later in tournament. I should have gone with my instinct.

Great fun though! Bring on the US Open. Maybe one day i'll get to day 3..

Ugh, Olga G took me out. In my mind I think I was picking Edna G (who of course won). Anyway, a Chivas and ginger ale would help erase my Eastern European name affliction
