    Re: TAT FT: Scoreboard

In this week's tournament, Nadal, Verdasco, and Ferrer continued to garner points both for themselves and for all of us who have kept them all on our teams. Gulbis, however, who has not done much, if anything to date, was the big shock, reaching the semifinals and actually taking a set off Nadal. Those who traded Federer onto their teams this week were none too pleased, to be sure.

One person who couldn't help but be pleased is this week's winner, natkl who: had all four semifinalists for the second week in a row, placed in the top three the last three weeks, and continues to lead the pack by precisely the number of points Gulbis garnered her. Well done!

Second this week was nelslus, who currently sits in sixth place, and coming in third was beaujarkko, who remains in second and lengthened the distance between himself and the current third place contestant, Drop-shot.

Three tournaments to be contested this week with LOTS of points up for grabs. Good luck all and have a great week!
    I'll miss you!

If only I hadn't started with Stepanek and JMDP...I coulda been a contender!

Also not too happy that two of my people on the original lists all of a sudden didn't make it to the draws this week...this is the week for lower tier players to shine!

Yeah, he's either playing some obscure challenger somewhere or saving himself for grass.

PHM too! Although it's not like he would've won any matches...I guess that 1 point he would've gotten wouldn't make a difference.

Ugh, don't get me started on PHM! What was I smoking to think he'd be a wise addition.

Somehow I missed beaujarkko up there at the top of the list on previous scoreboard Thought I was gonna extend my lead to something like 80 points after Rome. Sniff...

    Re: TAT FT: Scoreboard

Though there were lots of points up for grabs in these three events, the major players (Djokovic, Federer) disappointed while claycourt specialists Querrey and Isner made sure no one had a finalist at all in Belgrade.

This week's winner was ptmcmahon buoyed in large part by being the only team to contain Munich champion Youzhny. Montanes's upset of Federer and subsequent championship boosted several people several points, including Patrick, this week's runner-up, and luvs10s and tinamarie continue to assert themselves, for third-places finishes this week.

The overall landscape may seem similar to how it's been the last few weeks, with natkl retaining the lead and even adding a one-point difference between herself and still second-place beaujarkko. Third place luvs10s, however, has closed the gap on the leaders, and the rest of the pack is close behind. Indeed, 5 other players are within just 50 points of third place. The already-made trades will tell the tale this week, as all the contestants will hope that their “outlier” picks will garner them the points they need to close the gap. Stay tuned for a very exciting conclusion!

Sorry about the late posting of the scoreboard, everyone, but I was celebrating Mother's Day and the scoreboard I had prepared was done while Gil was up 3-0 in the third and thusly I couldn't post it. Thanks to luvs for making the updates and getting it for public viewing!
    I'll miss you!

    Re: TAT FT: Scoreboard

It was somewhat fitting that in a week where there were very few surprises, little changed overall in the contest. Shtexas won the week, followed by beaujarkko and Moose.

The contest is over, and congratulations are deservedly due to our champion, first-time medalist natkl who took the lead in the middle of the contest and never let it go! Congratulations!

Second place and a silver medal will go to beaujarkko, a fitting placing since he never won an individual week or tournament.

And third place and a bronze medal go to another first-time medalist, luvs10s, who had to hold off late charges from Moose and drop-shot to retain her medal position.

It's been a great contest for me to run (and participate in ), and I'd like to thank luvs10s who did a lot of behind the scenes work that kept this running smoothly.

We'll see everyone next year, and don't forget about the French Open Suicide Pool and Green Acres coming up in a few short weeks!
    I'll miss you!

Congratulations to all the medal winners. Natkl, you played a great six weeks on the terra battu and I'd like to welcome you personally into the Hall of Champions for TSIP. Enjoy the title and all of its many perks over the next 12 months.

See y'all on the lawns of Green Acres where I believe Omegadoom is already guaranteeing a repeat
