I was in that neighborhood last night. Glad no one suggested the bowling place. I only know of one there and it's also a very popular bar and concert venue. They might have to try to round up a lot of people for testing.
This was another venue (I'm not keeping upbwth the hipsters, apparently) and sounds like he was there for a music show, so maybe no bowling. The venue is shut down.

What's strange about this new story is there are reports that the doctor wasn't feeling well for a couple of days. So wouldn't you think he would be suspicious? Maybe, oh I don't know, self-quarantine? Let alone go out on the town.

Probably spurred on by Ottawa, we had a mini situation yesterday in downtown Halifax. At 8:30 AM a man was seen walking around downtown with a rifle (leading to many buildings going into self-imposed lock down) and then around 11 AM Police arrested a man who had gotten off a bus and left a gun on the bus...not necessarily the same person:

We also had perhaps a copycat. A man attacked a policeman with an axe. His neighbors said he recently became increasingly devout (in Islam). The attacker was shot down but a stray bullet hit a passerby. She and the policeman are in stable condition.

The Canadian consulate in Turkey is closed after a staffer found a suspicious yellow powder in a package delivered to the building.

Employees at the Canadian consulate in Istanbul have called in Turkish authorities to investigate a package filled with an unidentified yellow powder that arrived at the building on Friday.
A statement from Turkey's emergency management agency said a chemical, radiology and nuclear team had been dispatched to the office to inspect the package.
Emergency workers have also been reported at the Belgian consulate in Istanbul, the Anadolu news agency reported.

This is getting a lot of play on MSM. He struck two police officers with the axe, one in the arm and the other in the back of the head. The one officer has a fractured skull and is in serious condition (critical maybe - I don't recall).

New York (CNN) -- A man charged at four New York police officers with a metal hatchet Thursday, hitting two of them at a time of high alert for authorities concerned they might be targeted in the United States and Canada.

The man was hiding behind a bus shelter as if he was waiting to attack the officers, according to a law enforcement official, who said it almost appeared as if he was stalking them. The officers were posing for a photo when the man pounced, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said.

He struck one officer in the right arm and another in the head, according to the commissioner. The two officers who weren't hit then shot at and killed the attacker.

The law enforcement official identified the suspect as Zale H. Thompson, who had a criminal record in California and had been discharged from the Navy for misconduct, according to the source.

The police officer who was struck in the head remains in critical but stable condition. The other officer, who is 24, was struck in the arm and was expected to be released soon.

A 29-year-old bystander who was struck by a bullet in the lower back was also taken to a hospital. Her condition was not known.

Scenes like this help to balance the negative you seem to see everywhere.

    God bless Canada.
