Ladies' Day 8 (Tues) Wimbledon SP Pick

Less than 20 of you have made Day 8 of this year's Wimbledon suicide pool. You are to be jumped in the parking lot congratulated for your fine selections. Just a few more to make!

You will continue making one pick EACH DAY of the women's event (NOT one each round), and once you use a player, you can never use her again. Be sure to check the Picks and Results thread so you do not duplicate a selection.

It is very important you follow our posted schedule of play for the day. Today's matches include the 4 quarterfinal matchups of the Ladies' Draw.

Post your Day 8 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in London, rain or shine, that is, Tuesday, June 30th at 12:00 PM London time. For those in the US, London is five (5) hours later than the east coast, and eight (8) hours later than the West coast. Don’t be late as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will. The thread will be locked at the deadline, so don't wait until the final minutes. If it's locked, you are out.

Best of luck and thanks for joining us!

Again, Tuesday’s schedule of play is all four quarterfinal matches:

Dinara Safina RUS (1) vs Sabine Lisicki GER
Venus Williams USA (3) vs Agnieszka Radwanska POL (11)
Francesca Schiavone ITA vs Elena Dementieva RUS (4)
Victoria Azarenka BLR (8) vs Serena Williams USA (2)

Painted myself into a bit of a corner here. I've already used Safina and Dementieva, so I've got to go with either Lisicki or Azarenka in order to stay in if it's a Williams/Williams final.

    Long story short: Lisicki please.

keep in mind Azarenka was pounding Serena in Australia before she had to retire, then crushed her in (IW? Miami?) this spring. Wouldn't be surprised to see it happen again.

of course, Oudin knocked me out, so what do I know?

Thanks for the jinx, Socko. Guess this means I'm picking Sabine Lisicki.

In a similar situation as the rest of the remaining "players". I was hoping Wozniacki would win but now left to pick Lisicki. Crossing my fingers for an all Williams final (again).

    So go Lisicki!

Tough round to pick from. But given the options, my Day 8 pick on the Women's Side is...

    DEMENTIEVA!
