Re: Michael Jackson has died
This is so shocking. I'm a huge fan of his music. I cannot believe it.

Re: Michael Jackson has died
I feel as though the entire tapestry of my coming of age has been ripped from the walls in a single 48-hour period.
Ed, Farrah and Michael, all gone.
Have mercy.

My goodness! All of the celebrities are dropping left and right...

Good grief. As far as completely out of nowhere celebrity deaths go, he's not the most shocking candidate, but still it knocks you back.
It's hard out here for a Zuz.

And here comes the child molestation debate. I thought they'd at least wait 24 hours.

Yes, I agree with Kirkus. This is the Michael Jackson I want to remember:

One of my earliest memories: Getting up early every morning to watch the morning music video line-up countdown, trying to catch the "Black & White" video.

Beautifully put, Craig.
Of COURSE, we all could have expected all of this. Still, I am in such a state of shock. Called my man up first thing, because I did NOT want him to hear about this any other way.
These are the celebs we grew up with. I loved Farrah, too- a truly gifted actress. Michael's passing is, in so many ways, a complete tragedy. I am devastated- and furious- including (if not even more so) at Michael- that we all were robbed of his immense talent for so many years. And now- without a doubt- no more.
Awful. Life is just too damned short.

Don't forget him starting his road to stardom as the key member of the Jackson 5.

For better or worse, fair or unfair, the accusations and following trial did define a portion of his life and celebrity persona.
I'm going to concentrate on his music, and the joy it brought me.

That's it right there. I always thought he and I were about the same age. To this day, he was like a brother to me. Every story about him piqued my interest as though it was family news.

He was one of the first artists I went to see live in the Azteca stadium. Great show, great talent.
He'll be missed.
