2009 AOSP WOMENS DAY 1 (Mon) PICK

Welcome to TAT's 2009 Australian Open Ladies' Suicide Pool! Big greetings to our first timers and a hearty welcome back to our veteran SP'ers. This is our 5th anniversary, and in case you missed it, we have an outstanding prize package for this years' winner - be sure to check the announcement!

    Two important guidelines:
You will be making one pick EACH DAY of the women’s event (NOT one each round), and
Once you use a player, you CAN NOT use her again in the 2009 AOSP.
There will be a “picks and results thread” posted shortly after the day 1 threads are closed so you can check the choices you have already made.

It is very important you follow the schedule of play for the day posted below. This may be the first round, but only half of the draw plays Monday. And we don't want to have to eliminate you because you picked from the wrong half of the draw (sadly, it seems that every year we lose a player or two for this reason).

Since the object of the game is to pick a player that you are sure is going to win on that day, should your player withdraw, she obviously cannot win his match. You do not get a substitute (lucky loser) - you have chosen a player, not a spot in the draw. You might want to scout your player and make sure there is not a known injury or illness issue.

Post your Day 1 pick by replying IN THIS THREAD. Your pick must be in before the start of play for the day in Melbourne -Monday, 11:00 AM in AUSTRALIA/ Sunday 7:00 P.M. US Eastern time, 4:00 PM Pacific time. Please do not be late as we hate making those hard decisions, but we will. This thread will be locked at the deadline, so please don't wait until the last minute or you may find it locked when you hit "post".

Best of luck and thanks for joining us. All of us at TAT thank you for joining us over the past 5 years of the game, and we look forward to more fun and excitement over the next 5.

Monday’s Order of Play consists of 32 matches from the TOP half of the women’s draw:

Re: 2009 AOSP WOMENS DAY 1 PICK

Okay, I'm attempting to open this thread for picks (I'm new at this). I hope this worked. If it did, we're open for business.
