I think Elena D does mean things to people on purpose. Like letting them get a lead and then summarily demoralizing them... One point at a time. And throwing in a double fault here and there just for kicks, to give her opponent false hope.

I just started to watch. What was about that serve you all are talking about?
Roger and his 17 GS titles

She just missed it so bad. She hit it flat, about 10 feet to the right and into the bottom of the net.

I think I saw it hitting the Sony Ericsson logo.

WTG Elena. Not only am I a fan, but she just gave me my very first tournament winner in any contest of any kind, AMitSIII. (At least that I can remember.)

ElenaD has looked great this week. Great groundies as always but her all around games is much more solid than in the past. Granted some might say that most of her opponents this week were not of top notch quality, but If she continues like this 2009 will be an incredible year for her.

Agree on her game and that serve is not a liability as it was in the past. Now, Dementieva will be tested in Sydney with S Williams, Safina, Zvonareva, Kuznetsova, and Petrova lurking.
