    2009 Nostradamus Lounge

Here we can discuss our picks and a year later some of us will be able to brag how smart they were and some others will be wondering what were they smoking...

Thanks for taking this on, suliso! It's going to be a lot of fun next year at this time, when we look back on what we predicted and say, "Damn! What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!?!?"

Didn't we do a similar thing for this year? Where's that thread?

I think it was 2 years ago? Can't remember for sure.

Wasn't GVG in charge? She might know.

I'm sure it wasn't two years ago cause I wasn't here that long ago.

It must have been last year, then. I remember GVGirl started it. But it wasn't an official contest per se that was going to be tracked. It was just for fun. This one will have an actual winner (though no medal, so you needn't bother, Drop-shot).

I would just like to see who I predicted so many months ago.

I don't want to know who I picked. Vaidisova was probably there. But that was before I knew she was going to spend all of her mind (which shouldn't take long), energy, and time Stepaneking...

    Re: 2009 Nostradamus Lounge

I remember I decided not to do the ATP to save myself the embarrassment.

As a result, I concentrated all my efforts (of embarrassing myself) on the women:

    Ladies:
    1. Henin
    2. Sharapova
    3. Ivanovic
    4. S. Williams
    5. Kuznetsova
    6. Vaidisova
    7. Chakvetadze
    8. Dementieva
(9-20 in no particular order, Davenport, Petrova, Azarenka, Szavay, Safina, Jankovic, Schnyder, Hantuchova, Zvonareva, Li Na, Peer)
I didn't even put Jankovic in top 10!

I'd like to note that I had rave reviews for my list

    TScott said
i realy like that list...looks very possible and quite likely

    Re: 2009 Nostradamus Lounge

I guess I somehow missed it, but this time we will be able to embarrass ourselves properly!

No medal, but the winner will be bestowed the title "Nostradamus of the Year"
